Hipstar is one of the largest projects undertaken by The Network Data Group at a cost to the group of over £1m. Hipstar is a web-delivered solution managing to provide a simple, user-friendly interface with powerful functionality. The Hipstar solution provides estate agents and mortgage brokers with the facility to order all the components of a Home Information Pack for delivery to home owners.
The original project specification required the system to provide everything required for the successful online generation of the Home Information Pack introduced by the British Government in 2007. Given the target audience and the nature of the product, ease of use and flexibility were both given a very high priority.
Reliability and stability was seen as paramount so the specification included dedicated Rackspace Managed Hosting.
Although the live site is currently hosted at Rackspace Managed Hosting who provide a dedicated and ultra-reliable environment for the system, steps are currently being taken to match the Rackspace specifications inhouse for greater control of the system.
